Personal Post | Life Update
When I look back on the last few months, I have to pinch myself. I wonder “is this real”? Is this actually happening? So much has changed since my last life update and I thought it was time to share some special news, what I have been up to and future plans.
I won’t keep you in suspense any longer, I am engaged. Kraig the love of my life asked me to marry him and I,of course, said YES. If you don’t follow me on Snapchat, Instagram or Facebook you might have missed me sharing this very special update.
It is true what they say, being engaged is the most wonderful feeling. I can honestly say I have been in a love filled bubble since the day Kraig dropped to one knee. For those who want to hear all about my very romantic proposal, the ring and my future wedding planning I have decided to start a wedding blog which you can subscribe to here. Needless to say, I am so excited but also terrified about planning a wedding from abroad. My main worry is that I will have to pick a venue that I may not have seen before in person as it is likely to be in Ireland or Europe. As a creative person, this situation is pretty much my worst nightmare. I hope, once that is all sorted out I can begin to enjoy the planning process more. One thing I am sure of is I want to savour every single moment.
My next big news update is my travel future plans. After spending 6 weeks at home in Ireland this summer our next adventure awaits.
The word travel excites me, so many endless possibilities spring to mind, the tropical paradises of the Maldives, the Greek Islands ,Santorini’s beautiful white and blue skyline, the colourful villages of Italy and the beautiful lavender fields of France. But they will all have to wait, our next big travel plan is Australia. I did mention in my last life update that I wanted to travel around Australia and I will soon be able to tick this off my to-do list.
Since our trip to Shark Bay last year I fell in love with driving through Australia, so that’s what we are going to do. Kraig and I will pack up our trusty land cruiser “Thor” and head into the horizon to embark on a crazy adventure – drive the whole way around this vast continent. We hope to roughly sketch out our trip but nothing will be set in stone. As a very organised and completely unspontaneous person, this will challenge me but isn’t that what life is for, living? I know this will be the trip of a life time, something I will look back on and talk about for years to come. I will, of course, Snapchat , Instagram chat the whole adventure and take you with me. There will also be vlogs, drone footage, and blogs from our trip too. If you have driven around Australia or have any tips for me please do get in touch I would love your input and travel suggestions.
ONE DAY YOU WILL WAKE UP AND THERE WON’T BE ANY MORE TIME
TO DO THE THINGS YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED. DO IT NOW.”

I won’t say too much on this as its early days but I have finally taken the leap and there I will be some exciting news coming soon. What I will confide is I have dreams, big dreams and I am working very hard to make them a reality. I want to wake up every day and know I am living a fulfilled life, content doing work that sets my soul on fire.
As there I have quite a lot to share I thought it would be best to break up this life update into two posts. Read Part two here, I share everything from my fitness, weight loss and my recent trip home to Ireland with you.
