When I see the word DIY, ripped jeans, power drills and a paint brush come to mind all at once. Resulting in a bizarre cocktail of fashion deconstruction and home improvement. Thanks to the internet, Pinterest and Youtube, DIY has never been easier. The online world is filled with convenient ideas, tutorials and how do’s for you crafty individuals out there.
I discovered 2 metres of this vibrant floral print fabric in Save The Children for $4. Ideal for a little DIY project. Sufficient amounts of fabric left me wondering what to make. Initially, I contemplated crafting a romper but at the last minutes opted for a midi skirt. Confident that I would get more wear from a midi skirt I set about making my DIY creation.
My royal blue backless top is from Missguided, you might have noticed similar styles in recent restyle outfit posts here and here. I have to confess I love backless tops and dresses and find these body tops perfect for mixing and matching with skirts and trousers. I love this one from Missguided too here. Hope you are enjoying restyle and love this DIY look as much as I do. I have to say a huge thank you to the lovely Dana Weeks my amazing photographer. Missed yesterday’s outfit post Floral?
