Karrinyup shopping centre surprised onlookers at Scarbarough beach with an epic pop up swimwear guerrilla style parade in honour of Perth’s scorching temperatures and beach culture.
To celebrate the late onset of the summer weather, Karrinyup Shopping Centre kindly invited me to attend their Swim & Resort 2015 Series fashion event at Scarbarough Beach.
The event kicked off at Perth’s prestigious destination, Rendezvous Hotel. On arrival, I was greeted by a poolside rooftop breakfast boasting stunning views overlooking the vast WA coastline.
Samba drummers entertained the crowd and ramped up energy levels while guests were treated to a mouth-watering breakfast banquet stocked with hand decorated cupcakes, pastries, yogurt compote and a selection of tropical juices.
Following the lovely breakfast reception, it was time for the first parade to begin and models in the first swimwear collections posed around the breakfast area and pool.
As the sun rose in the sky and the heat kicked in so did the fun and energy levels on the Rendezvous rooftop.
Factor 50+ was needed as hunky males modeled a sizzling selection of Karrinyup’s menswear summer range. While the bikini clad models excitingly showcased the womenswear offerings. Armed with inflatable rings and steaming hot swimwear the models embraced relaxed pool poses while guests excitedly viewed the collection.
After a quick dip in the pool, it was time for the models to hit the streets of Scarborough. Jaws dropped as an epic parade of 20 scorching hot models captivated onlookers as they roamed the beachfront, showcasing the latest swim and resort wear from Karrinyup retailers.
Heads turned and people sitting in nearby cafe’s around the Esplanade reached for their phone to take pictures. The electric injection of samba drummers providing the soundtrack for the parades as the models roamed around before hitting the beach.
